Red Riding Hood is a favorite childhood story from Germany. There is a German tradition of putting children’s stories on the Christmas tree. Leah Kostoplos made this felt version of Red Riding Hood. She holds her little basket to take to her grandmother. Her white blouse is embroidered with red flowers and green leaves. Her two black braids fall past her shoulders. Her distinctive red cloak, which is how she got her name, covers her head with a red hood. She is seven inches tall (18 cm.).
