Beadwork is a specialty of Zuni Pueblo, at the western side of New Mexico and close to the Navajo reservations. Navajo like to copy Zuni beadwork, and this lovely beaded Santa ornament is an expert Navajo copy of Zuni beadwork. The amount of detail executed in beadwork is admirable. Santa has a belt with a gold buckle, a red suit and hat with white trim, and a pink face with a generous white beard. Santa is three and a half inches tall (9 cm.), not counting the sturdy leather hanger.
