Judy Toya is a potter at Jemez Pueblo who makes nativities from native clay she digs from the earth. This nativity has a lovely background wall which sets the scene in a pueblo. The wall has an angel in front of the pottery star. The figures in front of the wall include Mary, Joseph and baby, as well as a shepherd with a staff and three wise men with their pueblo gifts of pottery, a basket, and a drum. Three animals complete the set. The highest point of the wall is six and a half inches (16 cm.).
