Hand-Carved Bird Ornament By Manuel Montoya

Manuel Montoya is a talented wood carver who lives in Vadito, a small village on the High Road to Taos. He carves aspen wood in the style of this part of New Mexico. His carved birds are very popular and no two are exactly alike in their carved designs. Manuel signs the bottom of each bird ornament. Each bird is about three and a half inches long from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail feathers.
